About the Author
Dr Choong Kwai Fatt practises tax and now acts as legal counsel after his retirement as an associate professor from the Faculty of Business and Accountancy, University of Malaya. Working with ‘Kwai Fatt & Associates’, he specialises in transfer pricing, tax audit, tax investigation and company law.
Prior to his 19 years in academia, he was a tax consultant with PriceWaterhouse Tax Services Sdn Bhd. His passion in carrying out research, combined with his professional and academic qualifications, knowledge and skills in accounting and law, have enabled him to publish this tax reference for both tax practitioners and students.
He has published a total of 113 books on Malaysian taxation, including 3 books on Sales and Service Tax, 15 books on Goods and Services Tax, 4 books on real property gains tax, and and 11 books on the Companies Act 2016. His works are occasionally quoted as text references in tax cases heard by the courts and the Special Commissioners of Income Tax. |
