About the Authors

 
Tan Shang Neng was called to the Malaysian Bar in November 2013 and was made partner at a leading boutique counsel and solicitor set in January 2018. He is now a sole proprietor with a diverse general civil litigation practice, although he retains a special interest in director duties and shareholder disputes. His experience in a wide area of practice ranging from industrial relations to corporate rescue mechanisms has made him a firm believer in the primacy of civil procedure. He remains a student of the law.
 
Clinton Tan Kian Seng completed his LLB (Hons) at University of Bristol, England in 2010. He was admitted to the Bar of England & Wales in 2011, the High Court of Malaya in 2012, and thereafter the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in 2022. Prior to establishing “Clinton Tan”, he was a partner at a prominent dispute resolution law firm based in Kuala Lumpur. His experience centres on general civil litigation, with particular focus in contractual and commercial disputes, arbitration, insolvency, intellectual property, and medical negligence matters.
 
Dinesh Nandrajog completed his LLB (Hons) at University of Reading, England in 2010 and was admitted to the Bar of England & Wales in 2011. He was then called to the Malaysian Bar in 2012. He is a partner of M/s Nandrajog and his areas of practice include general litigation and alternative dispute resolution, with specialisation in the laws relating to contract, company, construction, debt recovery, employment and insolvency matters.

He has co-authored several legal publications, and is also a Certified Adjudicator and a member of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC)’s Panel of Adjudicators.
 
Nimalan Devaraja read law at King’s College London and graduated with a LLB (Hons) degree in 2010. He was admitted to Inner Temple as a Barrister-at-Law in 2011 and the Malaysian Bar in 2012. He is presently a Partner in the Dispute Resolution Division of Skrine. Nimalan is a commercial litigator who primarily practises in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, company law and shareholders’ disputes, international arbitration, restructuring and insolvency, and regulatory enforcement.
 
He is a contributing editor to the Malaysian Court Practice (Trial Courts), and to the Annotated Statutes of Malaysia (Limitation Act 1953 and Partnership Act 1961). Nimalan was listed as one of ALB Malaysia’s Rising Stars for 2021.
