About the Authors
 

 MakLinKum

Mak Lin Kum has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) (Hons) and a LLB (Hons) from Monash University, Clayton, Australia and has practised as an Advocate & Solicitor for more than 20 years. His experience in corporate insolvency includes special administration, receiverships, schemes of arrangement, capital reductions and judicial management. He is also familiar with fiduciary duties, financial reporting, stock exchange listing requirements, securities regulation and economic torts. He has actual experience in all dimensions of corporate rescue, from planning a rescue, advising on the funding dimension, drafting a rescue proposal, advising on tabling the proposal to creditors, planning for creditors’ meetings, to implementing and completing a rescue exercise and is familiar with the processes involved and the substantive requirements of the mechanisms that can be employed.
 

 ShimDeZhen

Shim De Zhen graduated with an LLB (First Class Hons) from the University of Liverpool, and undertook the Bar Professional Training Course at the Nottingham Law School. He is a member of the Middle Temple. He practises corporate & commercial law, and has worked extensively on financing arrangements, shareholders’ and directors’ governance and disputes, structuring and restructuring, employment policies, corporate insolvency and corporate rescue. He is experienced with judicial management applications, having also applied for interim judicial management on several occasions, and has worked on schemes of arrangement. He regularly advises Small-Medium Enterprises and business owners on ownership, asset and business protection and structuring strategies, as well as debt and collection management and re-organisation.
