About the Authors
Nagiah Ramasamy, retired Associate Professor at Sunway University Business School, has 45 years of experience in HRM and labour relations. He served as Industrial Relations Advisor at the National Union of Bank Employees and is a member of several HR and labour law organisations. He has worked with trade unions and international bodies like the ILO and the OECD, and has published extensively on employment relations. He continues to teach part-time and participates in forums and talk shows on industrial relations.
Balakrishnan Parasuraman is the Dean at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan and a Professor of Industrial Relations and HR. He is the Founding President of the Malaysian Industrial Relations and Human Resource Association and serves on national committees like the National Wage Consultative Council. He has received multiple grants and awards for his works in IR and HRM and is recognised through media coverage. He has also won medals in research innovation competitions in these fields.
Balakrishnan Muniapan, awarded “Best Professor in HRM”, has extensive experience in HRM, having taught at universities in Asia, Australia, and Africa. He has published over 70 articles and spoken at numerous international conferences. He is a certified trainer and consultant, known for his interactive and practical HRM training programmes. Dr Bala has significantly contributed to HRM effectiveness for organisations worldwide and is recognised for transforming participants’ strategic and critical thinking skills.
Vally Senasi is a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Utara Malaysia, specialising in Public Management and Industrial Relations, particularly in the public sector. She holds advanced degrees in Public Administration and Management and has published numerous journal articles in these fields. Dr Vally is actively involved in research activities and contributes to the academic discourse on employment relations and HRM.
